Padded Cell here I come

As you may have noticed I've been MIA for the last two days. Aah, it was glorious. A much needed Worker Mommy mental vacay.
Then today I returned to work to find that EVERYONE is quitting. Seriously, everyone ! Well...I maybe be stretching the truth a bit but a high level director, a lower level manager and my co-worker here in HR have all decided to fly the coop.

I'm pretty sure Armageddon is next.

And this is now the point where I will reveal how truly selfish I am.

Fuckity , Fucking fuck. Oh the timing. My coworker was hired two years ago when it was determined that there was too much work for my boss and I to handle. I gladly offloaded multiple duties hoping never to see, hear or speak of them again. But now I have to take those duties back -the ones I had chosen specifically because I was severely burnt out on them.

AARRGH !That really chaps my ass!

And come next month I will have a job outside of my daytime gig. Or two jobs rather. The twins will be returning to preschool. And said preschool just happens to be a co-op. Why on earth would a full time work-outside-of-the-home-mom choose a co-op ? Glad you asked. Well, frankly the teacher is simply amazing! She is incredibly patient, nurturing and loving and has taught at the same preschool for 28 years. 28. Did you hear me ? I said 28 years....teaching 2,3 & 4 year olds. I bow down to her. Sure I pay a little extra tuition to enable me not to have to work during class but I'm still required to hold two school jobs. Not one but two, because I have two children enrolled. Then there is the fundraising, the all school meetings, the Saturdays spent helping clean the school and the monthly parent education classes associated with the school...my mind is starting to disintegrate into goo.

So my lovelies, I may be a sporadic blogger at best over the next few weeks.

I'm reading you all, I really am... but commenting, yeah, not so much.

Just know I'm loving you and sending you huge cyber smooches.

Exhaustedly signed,

WM (aka drama queen)

I had my oldest in a preschool co-op too. Yours sounds exactly like ours. One of my jobs was making massive amounts of playdough in different colors, sometimes with different scents. Fun. :-P I also worked at the time, sang in the church choir, and had a baby to care for. That was awful because I do not remember my 2nd child's infancy AT ALL. I really regret making myself so busy that I didn't have time to spend drinking in my new baby's eyes.

Oh, is this your blog? Sorry, I do tend to enjoy talking about myself. :-P

Anyway, I feel your pain, but the preschool was wonderful, and I don't regret having my son in that. I'm sure your twins will love it too!

Oh - Worker Mommy. I.FEEL.YOUR.PAIN. I hope that the chaos is worth it and that your children are wonderfully happy and oh so intelligent for all of the work you are putting in for them. You are to be praised for your commitment to them.

Wow. The busiest woman I know just got busier!!!! Yikes! All right, I'll try very hard to be understanding when your name doesn't pop up at my blog as often. But I do NOT promise not to miss you. In fact, I guarantee that I WILL miss you. Sigh. But... I'll understand.

You are entering the high-stress years my dear. Just wait until they come home with homework and books they need you to read or to read to you!! Give up your social life now, take a sabbatical from any self-pampering, you are their PRISONER!! (At least it feels like it sometimes!). Don't worry, your blogfriends are still there for you! Hang in there darlin'!

Oh boy. This sounds crazy. My friend calls co-ops "paydates." I am amazed that they are making you do two jobs, one for each kid. Sigh. It's been nice knowin' ya, WM.

When did you redo your layout!?!?!? I LOOOOVE it!!

I have a bunch of people leaving here, too - so I've been (and will be) swamped as well.

Is everyone getting their blog made over???

How can you participate in a co-op? You must have an incredibly flexible job (LUCKY!). I can't because my kids are different ages. I'd have to pay for a babysitter and if I were going to do that...I may as well dish out the extra money to go to a school that doesn't require me to come help.
